COMMENT: The whole film is Pacino on the shoulders of a truly immense. The staging of Brest and the script are in the service of the actor with this film deserved the Oscar. The final monologue is really worth a standing ovation, but Pacino in the film "illuminates" the scene. However, the film is really beautiful, with a brilliant script, great dialogue and a good director and two hours and passes slip through that is a pleasure. PLOT: Frank Slade, a lieutenant colonel, you escorted by a young student in trouble with his principal. A little 'grumpy and a bit' intolerant man is determined to round off his life. Manhattan so he chose to get drunk before the madness of suicide.
